Last week's newsletter was "A new Dojo dawning" and the Community Hub session title was "Giving & Receiving".
The final Being With It All of 2025 is this Saturday — register here to get it on your calendar. Let's expand together.
Intentional Society is lots of things, and they all come down to people. IS is people — participating in, belonging to, identifying as a part of IS. People becoming the people they want to be, and embodying the (various fractal relational scopes of) world they want to live in.
I was contemplating two things in a workteam call this morning:
- the nature of our "message to the scene/world" as we enter a second era of IS, and
- appreciating the folks putting in time on the workteam itself, despite lots of nebulosity (like we haven't even started talking about collective payroll allocation process)
and both of those came together in a phrase I scribbled down because it felt important:
Here we are, we’re doing it.
Here we are. Enacting and embodying the thing. The thing itself (IS, Liminal Web, beautiful world) is... both some fractally abstragmatic egregoric hyperstitional vision and, also, chop wood carry water. It's people. It's us.
And we are here. In the arena, ya know? Showing up, serving, risking, live-laugh-love-ing, putting one foot in front of the other. And there is something about doing, acting, that's a contrast to talking about it. There's a lot of talk, talk is cheap, sensemaking can be bypassing, etc.
Here we are, we're going it, join us if you want. I think that's powerful. I think that's leadership. And I think it's a compelling cornerstone to building a growing and thriving village in 2026.
Cheers,
James
