Two ceasefires, 82 points apart on the board

Monday, September 7, 2026 · Edition 1

Two ceasefire markets, two verdicts. The board heavily favors the Israel-Iran truce holding at 87.5% while giving Russia-Ukraine a 5.5% shot at any pause by Halloween. Same category, same question, opposite answers. Meanwhile the sharpest repricing on the whole slate came not from a war but from Bitcoin.

🌍 Geopolitics

Israel x Iran ceasefire continues through September 30?

At 87.5%, this is the most-traded contract on the board and the second-biggest mover, up 17.5 points in a month. Compare that to the Russia-Ukraine ceasefire below, priced at 5.5%: two active theaters, a 16x gap in the odds of peace holding. The market has grown steadily more confident here even as it wrote off the other war entirely.

Russia x Ukraine ceasefire by October 31, 2026?

5.5%, down 5 points in a month. In isolation this reads as a dead market. Set against the Israel-Iran contract at 87.5%, it reads as a statement: the board finds a durable Iran truce fifteen times more plausible than any Ukraine pause lasting ten days. The peace optimism in one theater has not spilled a drop into the other.

📈 Crypto

Will Bitcoin dip to $55,000 by December 31, 2026?

The biggest mover on the board: down 34.5 points in a month to 20%. A month ago a BTC slide to $55K was better than a coin flip's cousin; now it is a one-in-five long shot, and today's volume ran 1.9x its weekly average as it repriced. That is the sharpest single re-rating in the entire slate, wider than any geopolitical swing on the board.

⚙️ Tech

Will OpenAI have the best AI model at the end of September 2026?

11.7%, and the third most-traded market on the board. The company with the most cultural mindshare in AI is priced as roughly a one-in-eight bet to actually top the arena leaderboard by month-end. Barely moved in a month (up 2 points), so this is not a fresh collapse. It is a settled verdict: name recognition and leaderboard rank are two different things.

Will Anthropic IPO by September 30, 2026?

0.8%, after a 13.75-point drop that ranks as the fourth-biggest mover on the board. Together with the OpenAI market, the Tech slate tells a consistent story: the AI names generate the volume, but the market prices the specific milestones (top model, near-term listing) as remote. Today's flow ran 1.5x its weekly average while the door effectively closed on a September listing.

🗳️ Politics

Will Josh Shapiro win the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination?

5%, and it has not budged a cent in a month. What stands out is the flow: roughly 6x the market's daily baseline changed hands with zero price movement. Size moved through without moving the number, which is the rarest thing on this board. Nothing else in the slate combines that much volume with that little repricing.

→ Polymarket

The board is confident about one ceasefire, dismissive of another, and quietly certain that the loudest names in AI will not clear their next specific bar. Consensus, it turns out, is mostly about which war you ask about.
