Apple jumps 26 points in the race to stay #1

Wednesday, November 4, 2026 · Edition 1

Two races for the top of the market-cap chart are running at once, and the board can't decide which matters more. Apple is the biggest mover here, up 26 points to a plausible #1 finish by year-end, while Anthropic's pre-IPO odds climb toward mega-cap valuations it hasn't even listed into. Meanwhile the Fed trade has flipped from patience to tightening.

⚙️ Tech

Will Apple be the largest company in the world by market cap on December 31?

At 36.8%, Apple is the single biggest repricer on the board, up 26.4 points in a month. That is not a drift, it is a wholesale rewrite of who sits at the top of the leaderboard by year-end. The Yes side is still the underdog at better than 3-to-2 against, so the board leans toward someone else holding the crown. But a 26-point jump means the "someone else" case got a lot shakier, fast.

Will Anthropic's market cap be between $1.5T and $1.75T at market close on IPO day?

23.7%, up 17.85 points in a month and the fourth-biggest mover here. Note the tension with Apple: the board is simultaneously debating whether a not-yet-public AI lab lands in the $1.5T to $1.75T band on day one, while a trillion-dollar incumbent fights to stay #1. One market prices an established giant's crown as a coin-flip-ish longshot. The other prices a mega-cap debut for a company that hasn't rung the bell.

💵 Macro

Will the Fed increase interest rates by 25 bps after the December 2026 meeting?

77.5%, up 7 points, and the most-traded contract on the board at 1.6x its weekly average volume. A December hike is now the base case, not the tail. Pair it with the separate 97.4% odds of zero cuts all year and the picture is coherent: the board has repriced the Fed from "on hold" to "tightening." When the busiest market on the slate agrees with itself that hard, it is worth sitting with.

📈 Crypto

Will Ethereum dip to $2,000 by December 31, 2026?

35.5%, up 21 points in a month, the third-biggest mover on the board, and trading at 3.4x its weekly average volume. The downside repricing is consistent across the ETH slate: weekly strikes put ETH above $2,400 at just 4% and above $2,600 at 6.8%. So a dip to $2,000 isn't an outlier bet sitting next to an optimistic board. It is the same bearish picture, drawn at a different strike.

Predict.fun FDV above $1B one day after launch?

56%, down 10 points since last coverage and the second-biggest mover on the board. A near-coin-flip on a $1B day-one valuation, cooling. The slide is the story: a 10-point drop toward even odds is material new price discovery on a launch that keeps getting repriced. Against a crypto slate otherwise defined by downside strikes, this is one of the few markets where the move is about a single event rather than the direction of the whole complex.

Two companies are being priced for the top of the chart on the same board: one that's already there and might fall, one that isn't public yet and might arrive enormous. The ranking, it turns out, is the easy part.
