Our friends at Connect317 put together a nifty program linking together a slew of tech-related events in the coming month or so and are calling it TechTober IN.
Indy Hackers is all over the calendar - Code & Coffees, our Indy.Init Conference/Hackathon, the AI in Software Engineering meetup that spun out of our #ai channel, and many of the other meetups that we are the community home for.
And, we have one more event on that calendar:
We’re hosting a Fall Happy Hour on September 29 from 5:30pm to 9pm at Centerpoint Brewing downtown. No agenda other than catching up with one another.
One complimentary beverage - non-alcoholic, one of Centerpoint’s fantastic brews, or other - included for the first 100 registered attendees to come to the event.

Women IN Tech Week - This week, all over the state
In the early days of computing, "computers" were people, not machines: workers who ran the numbers for science, engineering, and the military. By the mid-20th century, most of them were women.
When programming emerged as a profession, women did much of that work too. They made the jump from calculating by hand to programming machines like the ENIAC.
Today, most tech fields are male-dominated.
But women remain a vital part of our industry. Indiana Women IN Tech Week - running September 13th through the 20th - is a chance to celebrate their contributions and to learn how gender dynamics still make this field harder to work in for many.
