Updates and Teasers! September 2026
Hello, my lovely chaos gremlins!
September is apparently the month where I emerge from my editing cave, blink suspiciously at the sunlight, and realize that I have, in fact, been doing things.
Oh! I also have some exciting updates.
Whole Heart is officially heading to beta readers!
The big one: Whole Heart has survived my major editing pass.
And when I say major editing pass, I mean I printed the entire manuscript, attacked it with a pen, questioned several past decisions, destroyed an entire chapter, added things, deleted things, and occasionally left increasingly unhinged notes for myself in the margins.
You know...the writing process...
Now, Whole Heart is getting ready for its next adventure: beta readers!
For anyone immediately wondering, Wait, did I miss a beta reader signup?! — nope! You didn't miss anything. This beta round is being done with members of my existing street team, so there wasn't a public signup.
They'll be getting the manuscript in this month and will have a few weeks to tell me where they laughed, cried, swooned, became concerned for my characters' wellbeing, or wanted to throw the book across the room.
Once I have their feedback and make any necessary changes, Whole Heart will officially head to my editor. Please send happy thoughts to this woman. She is a saint for managing my chaos.
A Little Subscriber Treat...
I've also been working behind the scenes on the cover for Whole Heart, and while I'm not ready for the full reveal quite yet... I thought my newsletter subscribers deserved a little treat.
So here's a sneak peek at some of the artwork that will become the Whole Heart cover.

Consider this your official invitation to tell me any of your unhinged theories based on the art.
(I won't confirm or deny anything)
Meanwhile, Elsewhere in My Brain...
Apparently finishing one book does not make my brain go, Great! Let's rest.
It makes my brain go, Excellent. What if we wrote more books?
So...there are a couple of other projects quietly taking shape behind the scenes.
That's about all I'm going to say for now.
Partially because they're still developing, and partially because I'm considering different paths for some of my future books. This may include potentially pursuing traditional publishing. That means I need to keep a few cards close to my chest until I know exactly where those stories are going.
But I can tell you this:
There are more stories coming. There are more characters currently occupying my brain without paying rent. The chaos is very much continuing.
For now, though, my biggest focus is getting Whole Heart through beta readers, into my editor's hands, and one step closer to being on your bookshelf or in your eReader.
Thanks for reading my books, following along with the behind-the-scenes chaos, and giving me a place to be entirely too excited about fictional people!
