What This Is

This is - as every newsletter I’ve ever written since the end of the blogging era has been - an aspirational space. I intend to:

1. send out a newsletter once every two weeks

2. write about, in no particular order:

   1. my upcoming novel (Beings)

   2. my freelance writing work, which is largely book criticism

   3. my recent obsessions (old science fiction magazines, queer history, close readings of rhetoric I find weird and iffy, whatever show I happen to be watching...)

   4. books I’m reading and enjoying but can’t write about professionally (and, potentially, the political allegories I keep finding [making up?] in my kid’s children’s books)

3. be interesting enough to keep you around

So, uh, here’s hoping?
