Your comment made me smile! I had a Russian friend in university and sometimes she would also wear her scarf like the Nordic women I admired, this just reminded me of her. Maybe the knit headscarf is like bread, something every culture does in their own way with the same ingredients but in different shapes. I loved the matrilineal note, it makes more than sense. I feel like that when I wear my big square glasses because my grandma used to have a similar pair. A wardrobe is more than a wardrobe - it's essential to something about the female experience in a very small and strange way. As Canadian weather gets warmer and warmer, I will definitely look into a silk scarf for the season incoming - a twin sister of the knit headscarf but even more 70s Hollywood glam inspired, so thank you also for the note. And, thank you so much for reading!!
