This illustration above might seem like I’m jumping the gun a bit - it’s nowhere near summer yet! But the seasonal depression got me good this year and the first sunny days in the UK have wanted me to dash straight for the sea!

GO-MAN: CHAMPION OF EARTH PRE-ORDERS
That’s right! For World Book Day I finally announced the release date of my next book (and series) as well as announcing that it is now available for pre-order!
GO-MAN: CHAMPION OF EARTH (Volume 1) will be out in the US, Canada (and I believe UK?) on August 26th 2025. It may be available elsewhere too, but it’s only coming out in English first.

FEBRUARY TALKS
In my last newsletter, I spoke about my LGBTQIA+ Animation talk at Kingston University. If you came along, thank you so much! It was both very fun and very gratifying to kind of vent about the current state of the industry and how much censorship we are seeing in kid’s cartoons. It reignited my mission to push for more representation like Barney and Norma.
I was also part of the BFI’s Future Film Festival! I didn’t advertise it because by the time I said yes to taking part, the panel I was on was already sold out. But it was great meeting so many up and coming talented filmmakers and hopefully what I said was a small help.
CONVENTIONS??
So, I’ve been trying to get into New York’s Flame Con which I have attended the last few years, but it’s not looking good. I also haven’t yet heard back from Thought Bubble or London Comic Con.
I would love to do conventions this year, but with the amount of work I’ve got to do, this might be one of my smaller years. I’m not yet sure what Union Square’s plans are for Go-Man’s release, but last year the book tour for DeadEndia 3 really got in the way of getting Go-Man done on time. So we will see.
I mostly just wanted to warn you that I might not be at as many events this year as you’d hope. But I’ll let you know here as soon as I know!

I think monthly is a great frequency because then getting the newsletter feels special and it is fun to read through all the things that are going on. I know if I want to hear from you more frequently I can check out your socials. Keeping my fingers crossed for cons and staying at the edge of my seat for Go-Man!
Monthly feels the best for me too as then it gives me the most stuff to say! But I might still update the feed more if there's big news. Glad you're excited for Go-Man! I think you'll really like it!
