Hi friends,

I write to you from the sunny Austrian mountains, where I’m working for the week.

And I come to you with news!

My next single ‘Spending Ban’ is due to be released on the 18th April. I’m very excited about this one. I wrote it about coming home from America in March last year and having to go on a spending ban, but also having to reflect on my relationship with productivity. I definitely still haven’t figured either of those out yet, but I’m definitely better off a year on.

I recorded it with Tom around the same time we recorded ‘The Way It Is’, and whilst that one came together so easily, this one took a little more coaxing into the world.

There’s a lyric in it that says ‘two dogs, a home, and the blues’, so when you listen to it, if you knew him, it would be nice if you think about Casper, cause he was the centre of my life for so long, and I miss his dearly. Now it’s just one dog, a home, but feeling much less blue.

Beyond the new single, I’m working as hard as possible, and working on new music that I’m really excited about. I feel like I’m starting to find my sound more, and I hope that you like the way it’s heading.
