Hi friends,

I’m writing to you from sunny Nashville where I’ve just released a new single and turned another year older. Not half bad I’d say.

I hope you’re enjoying The Way It Is. It’s a song that I really love so it’s been lovely seeing the positive response to it.

It’s the start of new music and there is more to come.

I think there’s a lot to be said for blue skies and sunshine. England is so very grey for so much of winter and it really makes it hard to feel hopeful, but Nashville (whilst it can be cold) knows how to do blue sky well. I’m grateful to be here soaking up the sun, drinking too many margaritas and writing songs!

I think the freedom of open skies makes songwriting easier in many ways.
