July 🌼

Hello and welcome to life with Hannah.

Hi friends,

July has flown by. We started the month with the release of Stateside, so thank you for all the positive response on that. I was actually quite nervous about how it would be received so I’m happy that it’s being enjoyed!

It’s been a work heavy month for me, but that hasn’t meant I’ve dropped the ball music wise. I’ve been in the studio working away with lovely Tom on new singles for you to hear very soon, I’ve been working on content, forcing Dora into her true calling as content mum and been working with friends to create a new visual journey to go alongside these singles I’m SO excited about.

I’ve been trying to find some balance in it all. I’m no longer the same person that would fuck up opportunities for the sake of a good night out, but I am still someone who often sacrifices rest for experience and financial gain. Maybe that’s just how the summer always falls for me. I am around such amazing people all the time, but they too prioritise the same things, and struggle to find rest.

Dora and I took a 36 hour trip away to Herne Bay to find rest, and I think what we really discovered was a passion for saunas. So much of a passion that we spent our next possible day off in a sauna, sweating out our anxieties. I think it’s a passion we should continue.

In August, I will be living on site for 3 weeks, so I’m trying to prepare myself as well as I can for that vs. previous years where I’ve burnt out fast and hard. The next single is ready for you to hear it in August, and I just need to continue to ride this wave of motivation to get it to you, and to the world beyond.

Today is my last day in London before I head to site for a week and a half, and I feel overwhelmed by everything I’m failing to sort before I head off grid slightly. It often feels like a lose-lose situation, where if I don’t work I beat myself up for not making money, and if I work I beat myself up for not having enough time to spend on music. But for now I’ll prioritise trying to make it work everything all at once.

I’m excited for you all to hear the new stuff, and see the new artwork and content that I’ve been working on with some talented people. If you have anyone that you think might like my tunes, send it to them please! It makes all the difference.

See u in August <3

Love,

Hannah xx
