This weekend in Greenwich: Open House Day at the Bruce, summer concerts debut at Tod's Point
Happy Thursday.

The Tides + Tunes concert series kicks off Sunday with two free shows at Greenwich Point Park, the Bruce Museum opens its doors for free on Connecticut Open House Day Saturday, and there's enough happening in between to fill the whole weekend without leaving town.
Here's what's in this week's Pulse:
- Free admission at the Bruce and Greenwich Historical Society for CT Open House Day
- Tides + Tunes summer concerts debut at Tod's Point
- Frida Kahlo documentary screening at the Bruce
- Plus: 28,000 residents lost power, the RTM speed camera vote got postponed, and the Pemberwick Deli reopened
Best for families this weekend: Jumpin' Jams at the Point (free, 10 AM Sunday, babies through preschoolers) and Science Solvers: We Love Rocks! at the Bruce (ages 4+, free with admission).

All Weekend Long
🏛️ Bruce Museum: Open House Day Weekend
The Bruce is the anchor this weekend. On Saturday, June 13, the museum participates in Connecticut Open House Day with free admission all day, 10 AM to 5 PM. It's the state's annual celebration of cultural institutions, held every second Saturday of June, and the Bruce at 1 Museum Drive is one of Greenwich's best reasons to take advantage.
On Sunday, the museum keeps going with two programs worth planning around:
Science Solvers: We Love Rocks! (1 to 3 PM, Cohen Education Wing) lets kids ages 4 and up paint rocks and scrub them clean at a wash station, inspired by the Storr Family Foundation Geology Gallery. Drop in anytime, no registration needed. Free with museum admission. Kids welcome.
Cinema at the Bruce: Frida Kahlo (2 to 4 PM) is a documentary co-presented with the Avon Theatre exploring the rebellious, passionate life behind the art. Registration required and seating is limited. Bruce Museum members get a discount with code Bruce2026. Tickets through the Avon Theatre website. General admission.

In Case You Missed It
📰 Nearly 28,000 Greenwich Residents Without Power. An American flag tangled in power lines during weekend storms knocked out electricity to roughly 28,000 Greenwich residents. Eversource crews restored service, but the outage rippled into Monday schedules, school communications, and the postponement of Monday's RTM (Representative Town Meeting) session.
📰 RTM Meeting on Speed Cameras, Bush Statue and Hamill Rink Postponed. The RTM moderator postponed Monday's full agenda, which included the speed camera vote previewed in last week's Pulse, citing the power outage's impact on members' ability to attend or join via Zoom. A new date has been scheduled.
📰 Newly Renovated Pemberwick Deli: 'We Hope You Say, That's My Deli'. After a five-month gut renovation, the Pemberwick Deli at 83 Pemberwick Road is back open with expanded seating, a refreshed interior, and a menu spanning breakfast, grill items, and deli classics. The pitch: walk in, feel like it's yours.
Beach Report
Tod's Point holds its A+ from Save the Sound. Byram stays at D+ (stormwater runoff remains the issue). Head to the Point, especially Sunday when the Tides + Tunes concerts give you two reasons to stay.
