Ridiculous Opinions #97

Not much news this week. I’ve been quietly plugging away at various things. The first volume of the “Maurice the Beaver” book series is on its way to me so that I can proofread it and make sure that it is what it needs to be. I’m pretty proud of how the book turned out as a whole. Hopefully, it will look as good in real life as it does on screen. You are all expected to purchase a copy, because there’s no reason why you can’t spend ten bucks on me because I provide you with all of this wonderful, free content on the internet.
Currently in a bit of a holding pattern with “The Bean”. I’m waiting for a few festivals to open up so that I can start submitting to them. If I ever receive any news from any of them, I will let you know.
This week, I dove deep into technology in my classroom. I have long wanted to broadcast a live show at my school. I think students at the school would love to broadcast live every day (or a couple of days a week) from a classroom. So, I worked with my principal and tech director to get some money. We currently have a set being constructed for the room that will resemble something along the lines of “The Tonight Show” (only smaller), so we’re going to run a show like that. We also got some professional switching software for the show, which is going to be fun, and we will broadcast live on Youtube. It’s amazing to think that the technology is there for us to broadcast to the whole world. Whatever we want to do, live, is what we’re going to do.
