Not a ton to say this morning. It is that time of year where all teachers get so busy that they start to vibrate a little bit. On Monday, we have our fourth-annual UAE Student Film Festival. We have rented out one of the nicer cinemas in the city to have the event. I have a slight bit of anxiety about the whole thing because there are certain elements out of my control, but as a whole, the event should be a nice one. This is actually the festival from last spring, which we couldn’t have because of events here in the country that prevented it. Overall, we’ll be celebrating the work of my students from last year.

In my Advanced Film class, we are doing a reality TV unit as an experiment. So, we’ve been filming The Amazing Race, where 12 teams race around the school for fun and prizes. We’ve filmed two episodes so far and are filming the third on Monday. Sigh. Why do I put things on the same day? I am dumb.

Plus, we have a former alumnus from the school coming to school on…you guessed it…Monday. I have a few students who are going to do an interview with him, so we have to set that up as well. He was an actor on the show Money Heist. These are busy times, people.
