Ridiculous Opinions #169

So, if you remember last year at this juncture, I published a book that I had been working on for a very long time, called, The Completely Unreliable Travel Guide to Walt Disney World’s The Magic Kingdom. Basically, this was a book that was framed as what it says it was: a travel guide.
The only thing was that none of the information in the book was true.
I published an entire travel guide where I made up everything inside of it. I talked about the hotels (with fake facts); I spoke of park tickets (with fake facts); and I spoke about the rides (with fake histories, fake facts, and fake ratings). The only things that were true in the book were the names of all the places. There’s an entire history of Walt founding Disneyland while in competition with a communist version of the Disneyland. There are reviews for restaurants within the parks that don’t actually exist. There are ridiculous ratings for hotels that are based upon things that don’t actually make sense. The book, itself, is a ton of fun. You should buy it.
