I’m aching to go back to Canada.

For the last month, everyone has been telling me, “Just wait until may 21st! They’re going to get rid of the hotel quarantine in Canada!” I never believed them, and for a good reason, because here it is, May 21st, and the hotel quarantine is still there.

You might be able to tell that I’m bitter about my ability to get back to Canada this summer. It’s very hard to look at the United States, which seems to be functioning as normal right now, patting itself on the back to say, “We’ve done it! We’re okay!” while the rest of the world (or should I say…countries with less money) are still suffering. My anecdotal evidence is that the part of the population in the United States that actually went on lockdown last year has now been vaccinated, and the other half of the population has actually had Covid. Thus, you’ve got some good numbers and an ignorant population who thinks they’re impervious to the disease. Stupidity knows no bounds.
