Good Works Columbus: June 1st, 2026

Hi gang, happy June and welcome to Good Works Columbus. I took off last week for the holiday but I’m glad to be back.

Things you can do in person

  • City of Columbus HUD Annual Action Plan
    June 2nd, 4pm
141 N. Front Street, ground level conference room
The City of Columbus, Department of Finance and Management, Grants Management Section is holding a public meeting to present the status of the 2026 U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Annual Action Plan. The Annual Action Plan identifies projects and establishes budgets for the City’s HUD grant programs, and summarizes annual efforts for consultation, citizen participation, and anticipated outcomes.

A draft 2026 Annual Action Plan will be presented and provided at the meeting. The meeting will include an opportunity for public comment. The draft will also be available on the Grants Management webpage for public comment for 30 days following the meeting: columbus.gov/grants-management. A recording of the meeting will be available on the webpage, as well.

Join us for Green Drinks with Trolley Pub Columbus! (This event originally got rained out.)

We’ll be heading out to clean up our community while enjoying the convenience of the Trolley Pub. Litter grabbers, gloves, safety vests, and trash bags will be provided, thanks to Keep Columbus Beautiful.

Registration is required, as space is limited to 30 participants.

Keep Columbus Beautiful is teaming up once again with the Franklin County Dog Shelter to bring you our 2nd Annual Pick-It-Up with a Pup event! Join us for a morning of fresh air, tail wags, and community cleanup.

  • Linden Green Line - Community Cookout
    Wednesday, June 17th, 4:30pm-7:30pm
    Maloney Park, Columbus Ohio

Join us on Wednesday, June 17, to learn about the final concepts created for the Linden Green Line, based on your input!

Join your friends, family and neighbors for a community cookout to celebrate as we move into the next phase of the project.

Stop by Maloney Park on June 17, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. RSVPs not required but strongly encouraged.
