Hi! This week the AI Engineer World's Fair was here in San Francisco. Lucky me: no travel, no airport, no jet lag, which made me very happy. I spent most of the week giving two talks and hanging out at the booth talking to people building on Strands Agents and AgentCore. Also, tomorrow is the Fourth of July, so if you're in the US, happy Independence Day and enjoy the long weekend. Meanwhile, agent memory had a solid week and a frontier model got pulled and came back. Here's what mattered.

Hi. I'm going to be honest, this was a hard week. On June 24, two major earthquakes (magnitude 7.5 and 7.2, seconds apart) hit Venezuela's coast. I'm Venezuelan 🇻🇪, and watching what happened to La Guaira and the people there has been devastating.

Keeping up with AI is exhausting. The field moves so fast that taking a weekend off feels like a career risk, and I was tired of waking up to forty open tabs I would never actually read. So I did the only reasonable thing a developer does when something annoys her this much: I automated it. Now the news finds me every morning, sorted and ready.
