This week brought one of the most encouraging developments yet for Friends of the Campbell Pool.

Community ideas collected through the website are starting to make their way into Campbell’s actual pool-planning conversation.

💙 Our ideas are being heard

This week, I had the opportunity to join a focus group of 20 community members for the new Campbell Community Center pool and to share ideas, designs, feedback, and priorities contributed by neighbors through Friends of the Campbell Pool.

The discussion focused on the future pool, community priorities, and ways community involvement can support the grant process.

The part I’m most excited about: some of the ideas contributed by our community will be shared at the next community meeting.

That means the designs, rankings, comments, votes, and conversations happening through Friends of the Campbell Pool are beginning to feed into the broader community discussion. 

🎨 We’re up to 14 community pool designs!

Just a few days ago, we celebrated our first 9 community designs.

Today, we’re at 14.

That’s five more neighbors sharing what they want Campbell’s future aquatic center to look like, and we’re getting closer to our first big milestone of 25 designs. The site also recognizes completed participants with Community Designer badges.

📅 This Monday: Community Meeting #3

The next City of Campbell Pool Project Community Meeting is this upcoming Monday, September 21, 2026 at 6:30 PM at Orchard City Banquet Hall.

The City is asking residents to come help envision the new aquatic center. It is also inviting residents to submit drawings of their ideal aquatic center directly to the City. 

This is an especially important meeting for Friends of the Campbell Pool because some of the community-generated ideas we’ve been collecting are expected to be part of the conversation.

Can’t attend Monday?

The City is encouraging residents to design their ideal aquatic center and either bring the drawing to the Campbell Community Center Main Office or send it via email to the pool project team. 

Friends of the Campbell Pool is meant to complement that official process. You can experiment with programs and priorities on our site, then participate directly with the City as well.
