17 Designs, a New City Survey & Campbell Pool History
🏊 Poolside — Friends of the Campbell Pool Weekly Update
Suggested subject: 17 Designs, a New City Survey & Campbell Pool History
Campbell’s future aquatic center is moving into the next stage of community input, and this week brought several exciting updates — from a new City prioritization survey to new historical material contributed by Campbell Museums.
📋 The City of Campbell Wants Your Priorities
The City of Campbell has launched a new Community Center Pool Project Prioritization Survey.
The survey mirrors the sticker-voting activity from the September 21 community meeting and is intended for people who did not already participate in that activity.
The survey is open through October 30, 2026.
If you participated in the prioritization activity at the September 21 meeting, the City asks that you not complete the survey again because your feedback has already been recorded.

💙 Friends of the Campbell Pool Is Now Linked by the City
The City of Campbell is now linking residents directly to Friends of the Campbell Pool from its official Aquatics project page.
That makes it easier for people following the City’s process to discover another way to learn about the project, explore community ideas, and participate.

🎨 17 Neighbors Have Helped Design the New Campbell Pool
We now have 17 submitted community pool designs and are getting closer to our first milestone of 25 designs.
The community results currently show strong interest in programs including:
- Open Swim
- Lap Swim
- Swim Lessons
- Youth Swim Team
- Masters Swimming
These results represent community-generated input, not a final City plan.

🕰️ New: Explore the History of the Campbell Pool
We’re excited to begin expanding the historical side of Friends of the Campbell Pool.
Campbell Museums has contributed historical material to the project, including photographs from its collection showing the pool from the years when the site was part of Campbell High School.
These images help tell a much bigger story — the pool has been part of Campbell community life for generations, long before the current Community Center took shape.
We’re beginning to bring those photographs, stories, and other historical material together in a new section of the site.

A huge thank you to Campbell Museums for helping us preserve and share this part of Campbell’s history.

🎨 Celebrating the Art Around the Pool
We’ve also started highlighting the public artwork around the Campbell Community Center pool.
The murals and other artwork surrounding the facility are part of the story of this community space, and we want the site to celebrate the people, art, memories, and history connected to the pool — not just the future facility.
