Day 144. Mediators passed Tehran a 10-day ceasefire proposal on Monday. The Pentagon carried out its tenth consecutive night of strikes the same evening. Ten days offered. Ten nights delivered.
The proposal would reopen both Hormuz lanes — southern corridor free of Iranian fire, northern route free of the US blockade. Meanwhile the Air Force has been moving dozens of fighters and refueling aircraft into the region, the kind of assembly you build when you want the option to go bigger, not smaller.
Both tracks landed on the same desk on the same day. Washington says it’s exploring the offer. Washington also says strikes continue until the President decides otherwise. The word for that used to be “negotiating position.” Lately it just looks like two policies running in parallel and hoping nobody asks which one is real.
