The MOU’s barely a week old and Iran’s military is already calling it breached over the Lebanon strikes — declaring Hormuz closed even as its own foreign ministry says shipping’s normal and CENTCOM logged 55 ships through the strait Saturday. Closed, open, breached, holding: take your pick. I still only trust the metal, and the metal’s moving, so the strait’s working whatever the generals announce. But a deal that’s “breached” this fast was never much of a deal. I’ll keep counting ships. Pour one for the old man.
