Every now and then, I scroll through the kleinanzeigen app to see if there’s anything I like. Mostly, yes … and recently I stumbled upon a flash from Agfa. The Agfatronic 301CB. The thing came out around the early '80s and is a so-called “Computer Blitz.” That’s probably where the “CB” in the name comes from. Well - the name instantly gave me '90s vibes, and I remixed Technotronic's hit in my head to “This Beat is Agfatronic.” A good way to kill some time while waiting for my package.

Now, I’m a total flash noob and have never flashed anything properly. I wanted to change that last year and annoyed steigerungvonhart, peppering him with all kinds of flash photography questions. Despite all the support, I kept playing dumb, and my output back then didn’t exactly flash me. Not at all.

But this time, things went better. Just stubbornly did everything exactly as the manual said: popped the new Computer Blitz onto my Revue, set the correct shutter speed, chose the computer mode, and set the matching working aperture. Done! After that, all I had to do was loiter around town late at night and hit the shutter. 📸
