what is formyths doing

hello! still have not been drawing much but did do some riso printing, + a tabling announcement.

first though:

A border of olive branches surround bold text on a black background that reads "Palestine will be free," between drawings of river ripples & sea waves. The illustration is on a bright red background.

i support a free palestine (as anyone who still checks social media has already noticed). made hires versions + 3 color riso separations of this poster available if you want to print, just don't sell them.

would like to share some resources to learn that i've found useful / am working through:

  • decolonize palestine

  • palestinian youth movement's 2 reading lists

  • publishers for palestine has a selection of books free to read/download until dec 5

to my fellow residents of the imperial core: if you haven't already been taking action i urge you to do so. some very basic steps (though heavily US specific, sorry) can be found here.

(hopeful i won't have that problem here but also: if you feel the need to try to argue with me about this, do us both a favor and hit the unsubscribe button.)

art ✎

a risograph print in lime green, bright gold, and black showing a swooping 3-winged crow carrying a blazing star in its mouth. on the left is plant, roots reaching down, sap dripping from a cut stem. above is a panel of waves crashing

augury - 3 color risograph print in lime, bright gold, and black.

olive green plants twist into each other, their roots reaching down through black earth to tangle with a ribcage in bright orange, stars sparkling in the spaces between.

can't remember if i shared this or not but reprinted this design from earlier in the year in a slightly new colorway - fluorescent orange (#1 camera and scanner unfriendly color), bright olive green, and black.

a 1 page riso printed calendar in bright pinks, blues, and lime green: a twisting tree grows up one side, and a shooting star strikes above. bird-like creatures with masked faces perch & fly overhead.

also made some last minute calendar prints (maybe next year i'll fulfill my full month calendar dream). switched color options like 3 times but ended up with lime, fluorescent pink, and blue. these will be available to buy in person at...

other stuff ✷

... lucky risograph's holiday market! coming up very soon but it'll be this saturday dec 2, from 12-5pm at usagi cafe in dumbo, brooklyn. free entry + masks required in the vendor area. stop by and get one of the new riso prints i've made this year!

a twisting tiger design printed (upside down) on a kraft paper merch sleeve.

also printed some merch bags to be fancy and do "personal branding" or whatever (the rest of them will NOT be upside down).

i've mentioned this a couple times before but still in the midst of trying to figure out long term career options etc etc and hopefully i will be back to drawing more eventually. getting ready to work on my annual new year's comic though and hoping to make this one into a zine so we shall see how that turns out...

all the best,
