what is formyths doing

hello! thanks for being interested as i try to figure out ways to share updates/ art outside of social media! right now this will be pretty simple and probably just the pieces i've made/ shared in the past month(s) + any other projects or events happening. honestly i don't have a lot going on anyway.

(also, i've tried to make sure everything works but let me know if anything displays weirdly!)

art ✎

an illustration showing a view of a narrow kitchen, warm daylight coming from a window. on the left is a counter over cabinets with a stove at the very end, various pots and dishes on top. Cabinets are also installed higher up on the wall. on the right is a shelf with an electric kettle & a rice cooker. a plastic stool is just visible behind the shelf, a calendar, oven mitt, and towel hanging on the far wall. a window is near the center on the far wall, light streaming onto the left counterspace, some boxes and a container of scallions on the windowsill. a ghostly figure hovers in far end of the room, partially obscuring the stove and window. an illustration showing a view of a narrow kitchen at night, the scene a deep shadowed blue. on the left is a counter over cabinets with a stove at the very end, various pots and dishes on top. you've been here a while, right?

an illustration, showing a figure squatting in a darkened area, draped in the tattered remains of robes. most of their body is a dark teal, though their shoulder and face emerges as a brilliant red through the tatters. they're turned away and to the left, though they're looking over their shoulder at the camera - one glowing eye is visible through the smoke wreathing their face and curling up. their long dark hair falls down their back. a shed skin, half empty of scales, is draped over their leg. with a monstrous, clawed hand they hold a circle the same red as their face in front of their chest, strands of something trailing off behind. behind them is an elaborate frame of arcs and swirls, and a collection of ancient pottery is laid out by their feet.

some process pics (initial sketchbook scribble, partially refined sketch, lineart, flat colors): i had a pretty strong idea for the concept & knew i was going for a fairly simple composition, so a lot of this was focused on figuring out details

other stuff ✷

if you follow me on twitter (which is probably how you got here anyway) you may have noticed i've been into blaseball. here's some fanart i did in october. i also got to illustrate a label + some stickers for their coffee cup blend (thanks to the game band for the opportunity)!

thanks again for your support! 🌞
