what is formyths doing what is formyths doing

Another year… spent December tabling and then recovering from tabling and then immediately went on to working on stuff for 2026 so not a lot going on publicly.

a riso print divided into 3 panels: a scrap of cloth caught on thorny branches and a small inset of an opened egg; a wooden ladle spilling water; bare trees reflected in a pond, the last remnants of snow on brown-green ground.

My riso print subscription was on break Dec/Jan but we’re back for Feb so here’s the 1st print for 2026. 3 colors (light lime, copper, medium blue). This year I’m doing a 6 print miniseries alternating with my standard “whatever I feel like making” - this is print 1 of that series.

New year so slightly more in-depth promo: if you give me 15 USD / month, I’ll use that money for living expenses etc and in return I will put one (1) riso miniprint in an envelope and mail it to you. Sign up by the end of February to get this print, more info on patreon.com/formyths.

cover for Skinning by A Liang Chan, with drawings of fire and a figurine of an animal missing its head in panels, in red and black ink on pale brown paper.
interior pages, including an intense red endpaper, and comic panels printed in black ink.
interior pages, with single small illustrated panels on the left, and comic pages on the right.

Not really “new” but since I’m pretty much out of the first print run I did print a sort of “mass market paperback” 2nd edition of Skinning. Single color black riso ink + saddle stitched with red endpapers.

sketches of foals lying down, standing, running, etc in green-brown ink

Bonus… some foals (from a Zeet studio life drawing session done with friends)… getting ready for year of the horse. Drawn with a bent nib fountain pen.

other news etc ✷

Thanks so much to everyone who stopped by at MICE + CALA! Was not looking forward to back to back traveling but MICE remains a show I really like and I had a really good first time at CALA. So far my next confirmed show will be:

  • MOCCA fest (NY) - Mar 28-29

I am trying to have an observational sketches zine done by then (among the many other things I am currently working on right now)… we shall see…

Back to work…
