Firo Has a New Website

Firo.org has been refreshed with a clean and new look. The new homepage leads with what Firo is and what it stands for, built around three core pillars.

Rosen Bridge: Rollout Has Begun

Rosen Bridge has announced the start of the rollout process for Firo support. Rosen Bridge is a decentralized cross-chain bridge that lets you move assets between different blockchains without relying on a centralized intermediary. Once live, FIRO holders will be able to bridge to Ethereum, BNB Chain, Cardano, and more - gaining access to DEX liquidity on Uniswap, PancakeSwap, and major DeFi ecosystems without needing a centralized exchange.

The rollout is underway.

Firo Post-Quantum Research Update

Firo, HashCloak, and CypherStack have been working together on the research direction for a post-quantum successor to Lelantus Spark. The leading candidate being explored is BLOOM - a lattice-based one-out-of-many proof system that can produce compact ring signatures. The key research challenge being worked through is adding linkability to BLOOM - the ability to detect double-spending without revealing which ring member is involved. No final protocol has been selected yet as this is early-stage research but it shows Firo is taking post-quantum readiness seriously now, not later.

THORChain Integration: Work Beginning Soon

Following community feedback, The Firo team is now in contact with the THORChain team and will begin integration work soon. A lot of the groundwork has already been done by Dash, which should make the process smoother.

DFX Integration: Final Testing Phase

Firo's integration with DFX, a Swiss non-custodial fiat-to-crypto platform, is now in its final testing phase. Once live, FIRO users will be able to buy, sell, and swap FIRO directly from their own wallets via SEPA, SEPA Instant, and SWIFT bank transfers - and spend FIRO at 137 SPAR supermarkets in Switzerland. No centralized exchange required.

The Firo privacy coin comparison guide has been updated as of July 23, 2026. It covers how Lelantus Spark stacks up against the major privacy mechanisms deployed today - Monero, Zcash, Dash, and others - across dimensions like sender/receiver/amount privacy, trusted setup requirements, and scalability.

• Stack Wallet x Firo Meetup in Dassa, South Africa

The Stack Wallet Africa community held another successful meetup in Dassa, with Firo front and center. Every participant left with Stack Wallet installed and configured. The session covered privacy, self-custody, and how Firo empowers users with confidential transactions - and participants even walked away with FIRO giveaways. The highlight: participants kept asking "When is the next meetup?" This is only the beginning.
