Hello. It’s been a couple of months, but we’re back with a little lab update. We’ve played a bit more with apparel design, which you can explore below, and released a fun social feature, which you’re invited to participate in. We’ve also been experimenting with 3D-printing, exploring a decorative but interactive desk accessory. The concept is our 3 Fs that make up our logo magnetically joined, allowing multiple configurations. It’s still a WIP, and we’re working with Ken Giang on this one, which is a pleasure.
Crafted from heavyweight fabric, this 100% premium carded cotton tee offers incredible comfort and durability. Featuring black embroidered FFF detailing on the chest and ФФФ embroidered on both sleeves, it’s a subtle yet distinctive nod to our minimal aesthetic. The relaxed cut with drop shoulders ensures a laid-back silhouette and unisex appeal. Wears oversized. Size S is sold out for now, but all other sizes are available.
Remember the guestbooks you’d often find on blogs 20+ years ago? Well, using those as inspiration, we decided to make an audio interpretation of that, albeit completely private. The concept it simple. You can leave us an anonymous voice note, up to 15 seconds long. Say whatever you want. It won’t be shared. It’s just for our ears.
We’re curious what kind of messages people will leave when there’s no public stage. Does knowing it’s private change what you share? Will it bring out something playful, serious, weird, or surprising? That’s the fun of it. Hit record!
We’re continuing the redesign of theforest.link. The design is pretty much finalized (sorry, Manu), but we tend to feel our way through the final touches of a design as it’s being coded. As this is our current focus, we’re hoping to push on with this to go live as soon as possible.
We’re still figuring out a cadence for this newsletter yet. But we think it’ll be every couple of months for time being. As we mentioned in our first letter, we might also include the occasional opinion piece, so it won’t just be about sharing our work. Perhaps in the next edition.
