0×001: Finding our feet

Things are moving. Albeit at a very leisurely pace. And we’ve given ourselves permission to be content with that. Since launching the studio concept in January, we’ve designed and launched our website, created three products, and started several more — alongside a handful of playful experiments.

We’re slowly finding a rhythm that allows for more regular output, but honestly, we’re enjoying the process of exploring and sketching ideas — some of which could evolve into future work across both analog and digital design.

Hidden wallpapers

A project Manu and I worked on some time ago, but we made available given its popularity. It’s just a simple set of phone wallpapers, but with a nice attention to detail to hide certain obtrusive features of the iPhone. You can download this set for just $5.

Back in stock are our heavyweight long sleeve shirts in white and black with a bold back print. These 100% cotton oversized shirts play on the initialism of FFF (FormFeelingFunction®), which is also the hex code for white, and 000 for the black variant. Available to order worldwide for $38.

What’s next?

We’re building a small feature for our site that functions as a kind of social experiment. You’ll be able to leave completely anonymous voice messages — ones that only Manu and I will hear. Think of it as a private audio guestbook.

We’re also in the middle of redesigning theforest.link. The new version will have a lot more character than the current one, and we’re excited to share it with you in the next month or so.

We haven’t quite figured out a cadence for this newsletter yet. Maybe monthly. Maybe every couple of months. We might also include the occasional opinion piece, so it won’t just be about sharing our work.
