CROONERS Showcase This Sunday!
Fancypants has a very full spring lineup, including our first CROONERS Showcase, a new month of SWITCH/BOARD, and our quarterly show, V is for Veritas! Read on to find out what genres our intrepid improvisors will be exploring, and to see the stunning poster artwork for Veritas.

Spring is in the air, and that always gives us an appetite for something fresh and full of life– like our very special limited series, the CROONERS Showcase– beginning with a special duo, on Sunday, April 12th, at 7 and 9pm! Air the Artist and Misterrr are going back-to-back in a sultry Springtime offering, ably assisted by the exquisite talents of our Musical Director Brendan Getzell.
Vibrant, vivid, and vocally voracious, we’ve decided that some guests are simply too delightful and delicious to be hemmed in by a two-song set… so we’ve let them loose to dazzle you with their talents and charm, for ONE NIGHT ONLY! Grab your tickets and mark your calendars, this premiere showcase will set the standard for future guest performers!

EnSeanTé will of course be on hand to make the formal introductions, but this is a rare opportunity to luxuriate in two incredible artists, uninterrupted. Our celebrity mixologist MK will be in their usual spectacular form, shaking with the beat, and pouring throughout the night! If you support queer elegance in its most refined form– CROONERS Showcase is the event for you!
As the season heats up, so does FANCYPANTS! Whether you prefer your queer brilliance served light and fresh, or slow-cooked to perfection, we have offerings aimed to please…

On the lighter side, SWITCH/BOARD is back after its delightful inauguration this January, to bring you four more nimble, effervescent evenings of anarchy! Salacious, silly and surreal, Nicole Odell and Sean Owens have concocted four new themes to suit the peculiar needs of the SWITCH/BOARD format: improvised screenplays, about the telephone, over the radio! Sounds impossible? It probably should be, for anyone but these two.
For added entertainment value, we follow each SWITCH/BOARD with a free screening of a the film that inspired the prompt! Every Monday in May at 7pm, SWITCH/BOARD will undertake one of these auspicious themes:

We’ve mentioned before how lucky we are to have such a talented illustrator making our FANCYPANTS posters, but this month, Reese Bice has outdone himself– this painstakingly beautiful image could easily be the front cover for a novel about dark academia or some mystic order of Illuminati.
But no, it’s a drag show unlike any other… V is for VERITAS grabs you by the Latin root, and squeezes ‘til you spill the truth! We’re asking hard questions about history, literature and the arts, and the results are positively radiant. The event is Sunday May 17th, 7-10pm at the STUD, but we wanted to give you all a moment to sit with a simple truth: this is a gorgeous poster, and we intend to live up to it.
Tickets and VIP tables to FANCYPANTS: V is for Veritas available here.
Thank you for reading our newsletter and supporting independent, queer arts in San Francisco! While you’re waiting for the next, did you know that you can see photos from previous shows and read about our performers on our website?
