Essays of Otto for November 18, 2020: Ten Years in a Small Place

Beloved reader,

When I ran late posting last week’s essay, I figured I would make up the lost time by leaning on a fragment I wrote a couple of years ago, reflecting on my winding path to living in Waldhurst despite my then lifelong self-image as an urbanite.

“I should be able to polish this piece up and post it by Sunday, no problem,” I figured. Obviously, that’s not how it worked out, although I’m sure I did save time by starting with that fragment.

Anyway, I’d be honored if you would click on through and check out my reflections on the surprising discovery that I’ve now been living in this small rural city for a full decade.

Here’s that link again.

Thanks for reading!
