¿Qué tal estás? ¿Cómo ha ido el verano? El mío bien, pero solo porque no estuve en España achicharrándome. Me siento muy afortunada por tener amigas que nos dejan sus casas en Berlín y poder escapar del calor unos días (sois las mejores). Durante esas semanas de okupa hice fotos, quedé con gente, visité mercadillos y trabajé en proyectos personales. Lo mismo que hago aquí, pero a una temperatura apta para la vida en el exterior. Y, quizás por el cambio de aires, me preocupé menos que de costumbre por todo y pude descansar, lo cual no está mal para variar.
Pero, por supuesto, al volver a casa y al calor también retomé las preocupaciones de siempre. ¡A ver qué te habías pensado! ¡Que esas facturas no se pagan solas! ¡El cambio climático! ¡La subida del alquiler! ¡La IA cargándoselo todo! ¡La cuota de autónomos! ¡Aahhhhhh!

Hola, hello, hallo,
How are you? How was your summer? Mine was good, but only because I wasn't roasting in Spain. I feel very lucky to have friends who let us stay in their homes in Berlin, so we can escape the heat for a few days (you guys are the best). During those weeks of squatting, I took photos, met up with people, went to flea markets, and worked on personal projects. The same things I do here, but at a temperature that’s suitable for being outdoors. And maybe because of the change of scenery, I worried less than usual about everything and was able to get some rest, which was nice for a change.
But, of course, as soon as I got back home and back to the heat, I also picked up all my usual worries again. What did you think? That those bills are going to pay themselves?! Climate change! Rising rent! AI destroying everything! Being self-employed! Aahhhhhh!!!

🐠 A day with: Tenko

En julio pasé una mañana en el estudio de Tenko, una artista afincada en Berlín que utiliza la cerámica como medio para hacer realidad su universo creativo. Me encanta su trabajo y fue muy interesante conocer el proceso que hay detrás de sus piezas, desde los bocetos al esmaltado. In July, I spent a morning at Tenko’s studio, a Berlin-based artist who uses ceramics as a medium to bring her creative universe to life. I love her work, and it was fascinating to learn about the process behind her pieces, from the initial sketches to the glazing. 💅 New stickers

A finales de agosto, Javier y yo participamos en Flyleaf festival, donde lancé a la venta una nueva hoja de pegatinas llena de algunas de mis cámaras favoritas y otras que no me importaría tener. Me lo pasé muy bien diseñando a estos personajes; tengo ganas de hacer más cosas con ellos.

At the end of August, Javier and I participated in Flyleaf Festival, where I launched a new sticker sheet featuring some of my favorite cameras and others I wouldn't mind owning. I had a great time designing these characters; I can’t wait to do more with them.

Este verano no he parado de escribir de fotografía en el blog. Por si te perdiste alguno de los posts, te cuento de qué van muy rápido:
• Hice una comparativa entre mis tres cámaras compactas (Ricoh GR 3x, Pentax 17, Olympus XA2) y, sorpresa, mi favorita fue la más barata.
• Compartí varias anécdotas que he vivido haciendo fotografía callejera en Berlín, ciudad anti-cámaras donde las haya.
• Hablé sobre la relevancia del escaneado en la fotografía analógica.
• Compartí mi experiencia fotografiando el eclipse.

This summer, I’ve been writing non-stop about photography on the blog. And, in case you missed any of them, here's a quick rundown:
• I did a comparison of my three compact cameras (Ricoh GR 3x, Pentax 17, Olympus XA2) and, to my surprise, my favorite was the cheapest.
