Welcome to Enthusiasms
Let me (re)introduce myself
Enthusiasms is a project I started some time ago, over on my website, and updated at what could generously be called “sporadic intervals.” The original intent was to write a weekly review/mini-essay about regular things, which I did for a period of time. In the Year of our Lord 2023, I am bringing it back for the following reasons:
1. Blogging is good
Remember blogs? Me too. It’s time for online to be fun again, and blogging is definitely fun.
2. Writing regularly is good (for me)
I tend to get sucked into pitching stuff or projects that take 500 years to finish, and then I forget that writing is fun. Writing is fun!
3. People enjoyed it
It’s true! My reviews of regular things themselves earned rave reviews from people such as my many Twitter (RIP) followers, my therapist, and folks I knew in grad school. Don’t believe them? Check out some of the previous hits:
