Allergy Season
On muddling through.
My eye is so watery lately, is a thought I have each spring, a perennial mystery to be solved. One of the big oak trees in my neighborhood shot spent flowers all over the sidewalk, and walking through the mess, I remembered: Ah right, allergies.
This year, of course, the resolution isn’t as straightforward. Zyrtec safe pregnancy? Flonase safe pregnancy? Allergies while pregnant. I decided I’ll wait to ask a real human—the degradation of the internet makes me wary of any answer Google gives, even the ones you append “reddit” to—though, I’ve found, the answer to questions like these has been, so often, “Probably.” lol, great.
I won’t guilt my son over my every little sacrifice (miss u, large coffee). How, in the weeks before he was born, I just let the pollen win.
