Emmett Weekly — July 18, 2026
A quiet midsummer week for official updates; here’s what we could confirm.
Emmett Weekly — July 18, 2026 (DRAFT)
Good morning, Emmett. Here's what happened around town this week.
City & County
Not much new from City Hall showed up online this week. The City’s meetings page didn’t have July agendas or minutes posted when I checked, so I’m holding off on recapping anything I can’t verify yet.
Schools
No new levy/budget updates were posted to the district’s website this week. The district homepage was still showing an old April board-meeting notice, and the “meetings and minutes” page didn’t display new June/July packets in the public page text when I checked.
Development
SH-16 (SH-44 to SH-52) still looks like it’s in “wait and watch” mode online. The Idaho Transportation Department’s project page didn’t show a fresh July update; the newest item visible was a March note about Valnova beginning overpass work.
Community
Chamber event calendar: the listings didn’t reliably show names/times this week. The Chamber’s events page displayed lots of dates but most entries didn’t include readable titles or links in the version I could access — so I’m not going to guess.
If you’re planning ahead: it’s worth checking the Chamber calendar directly later in the week for clearer event details.
Sports
Summer is usually light for official stats-based coverage. If you’ve got results from Little League, youth tournaments, or summer ball (or if a team posts a schedule/results page), send it my way and I’ll include it next week.
