Hello and happy pride!! If you were watching Channel 5 last night, you might have seen a familiar face… if not, you can read the article here and catch the whole clip on Youtube! Thank you to NBC and Vi Nguyen for reaching out and featuring us.

We’ve also got some great new stuff in the store and on our class calendar:
Baa Ram Ewe Mowool is a lightweight brushed wool that gives that fuzzy mohair look in a sheep fiber. This yarn looks so good with two strands of different colors marled together - check out the Aurelie Jumper pattern by the manufacturer to see what that looks like!
Universal Yarns Scroll is a new 100% cotton sport-weight yarn that’s perfect for those 89 degree days when I’m extremely thankful that the shop has good A/C.
Fonty Super Tweed is a lush, squishy superwash merino and mohair blend speckled with cute multicolor tweedy flecks! I’m crocheting a little blanket with it right now and I love that it already looks like a family heirloom.
Ex Libris Ursula is a hand-dyed sock yarn in a beautiful range of deep, lovely colors. We met Rita, the dyer, at YarnCon this year and immediately fell in love with her gothy color palette and literary references. Seriously do NOT miss the color names on this one
We now stock felting kits, mats, and wool from Woolbuddy!
Crochet a Granny Square Tote (Sundays, June 7 and 14): there’s still a few spots left in this beginner-friendly crochet class! Make yourself a custom bag and impress everyone at the farmer’s market while you’re choosing the weirdest looking heirloom tomato you can find.
Pride Month Crochet Club (Fridays, June 12, 19 and 26): new price drop! Come chill with us and make some friends in this choose-your-own-adventure class/camp/hangout session 🌈🌈🌈
For the Love of Tapestry (Thursdays, June 18 and 25): are you weaving-curious? This brand-new class, hosted by Maggie Leininger of Considered Cloth, will show you the basics of tapestry weaving on a tabletop frame loom.
Crochet a Bag Charm (Tuesdays, June 30 and July 7): make yourself a fruity little Hardicraft kit bag charm with our resident crochet genius Jess! Not only will you end up with a great accessory, but you’ll learn the skills you need to craft all kinds of toys and stuffed goodies.
We also have all-new sessions of Embroidery Basics, Knitting 101, and Learn to Crochet on the calendar this June and July.
Take it easy and see you around!
