A Home for Unloved Flowers
The weekend after Valentine's Day, the floral section at the grocery store was looking droopy and depleted. They hadn't restocked for the coming week, and of course all the color was gone, chiefly in the form of roses. Only small mournful individuals in pale hues remained, among them a wilting and sodden bouquet of alstroemeria. Long-time readers may remember that I've had good luck with alstroemeria in the past; they're hardy and don't seem to mind the lack of sun, just like me. These fellows have really bounced back; they're as vibrant as any rose or daisy I've had at my table.

A Corny Sticker That Is Nevertheless True
A thing can be corny and also true. Love is a muscle that requires flexing. And anyway, I am corny. I am endeavoring to embrace that. Heaven knows the agricultural-industrial complex has.
They Say Photos Are Good for Engagement
Or maybe I just have less to say this week. I don't know. Life's been so eventful, why should I feel tongue-tied? Maybe I'm busy living it.
