From the Desk of the White Rabbit
I’m late, I’m late! I took the occasion of a long holiday weekend to forget all my worries, forget all my cares, and go…not downtown exactly, but to a relaxed parasympathetic place where I forgot to be nervous about doing things on time.
It’s nice to relax, and what’s more, it’s essential to our psychological survival. If you don’t relax, if you constrict yourself for aeons trying to get by, you don’t feel the vitality coursing through your nervous system. And if you don’t feel that, it’s pretty hard to keep going.
Given all that, I’ve decided to play it fast and loose with Marzipan Potpourri for the next couple months as I prepare for my big move. I’m not halting potpourri production, but I want to hold myself to a less rigid schedule.
But fear not! Flowers will continue blooming on my desk, the sun will continue reminding me that I have a body, and words will continue firehosing out of my Broca’s area with a power and intensity that borders on glossolalia. So has it ever been. I really do feel a lot of love for you, readers, and I am eager to share more of myself in these pages. See you soon.
