My thoughts
Boomerang is closing down at the end of September, with most of its content supposedly moving to Max. So far, the main content arriving is in mid-September: a handful of “Scooby-Doo” movies and “Jonny Quest.” Perhaps October will see more ex-Boomerang material arrive.
The Paramount+ “Knuckles” miniseries arrives on Blu-ray this month. I enjoyed both “Sonic the Hedgehog” films, so I wouldn’t mind catching this miniseries.
“How to Die Alone” is a new Hulu series about a lonely Black airport worker who tries to enjoy life more after a brush with death.
Disney+ has a bit more this month versus last month, with the launch of “Agatha All Along,” a spin-off of “WandaVision” (which I didn’t enjoy). There’s also several Lego-themed animated takes on Disney/Pixar cartoons, plus the live streaming debut of the new season of “Dancing With the Stars.”
Sports stuff
Fall brings the start of the football season. As usual, America’s most popular sport is available widely on over-the-air TV, as well as a handful of streaming services. I get Peacock for free via my broadband provider (Comcast), so I’ll be able to watch “Sunday Night Football.” Like last year, Amazon will live stream “Thursday Night Football” on Twitch for free.
