It's so cheap to build that it becomes painfully obvious when you're just running in place, getting nowhere. The only thing left to be good at is knowing what to build and having the nerve to skip the rest.

While a bunch of us were entering free-fall together I couldn't help noticing that this is a very interesting time for technologists. May you live in interesting times is, of course, a proverbial curse. Then again, "interesting" is a big part of what drew most of us into this ever-changing game of building digital experiences for people.
