New Video: 5 Mistakes Ruining Your Power Apps
Most Power Apps look old, chunky and feel slow. The same 5 mistakes show up over and over, whether the dev is a beginner or has years of experience. And these are the reasons users quietly hate using the apps you build.
New video is up and in there I walk through each mistake and how to fix it.
The 5 mistakes:
The wrong color system: Default gray or brand color everywhere. Both look amateur
Spacing and alignment: No spacing scale, random padding numbers, nothing lines up
Inconsistent icons: Mixing Fluent icons with random emojis on the same screen
No feedback states: Click save, nothing happens, user has no idea if it worked
No typographic hierarchy: Everything at the same size, so nothing stands out
I show all of them in the video, plus a free Claude skill at the end that catches these mistakes in your own app for you. Since you're already on the newsletter, you can grab the skill directly here: powerlibs.com/newsletter/welcome. (And if you're already using PowerLibs MCP with Claude, the same review is built in)
Hope you enjoy it!
Cheers,
Dennis
