Five Links #98
1. Strong opinions, loosely held — and what that means in the age of AI
Here’s what I’ve started to notice. Teams using AI for analysis are arriving at meetings with stronger-sounding opinions, polished presentations and less capacity to defend them when challenged. They’ve outsourced the thinking and kept the confidence. The phrase has been quietly inverted. They’re holding AI-generated outputs firmly, when the whole point was to hold your own views loosely.
2. Butter
This looks like an interesting SaaS for creating product or promotional videos.
3. What the f*ck are we doing?
One of LLMs best strengths is supposed to be parsing text. They’re even better than the search engine bots that have been scraping and indexing our websites for decades now. Why do we even have to optimize our sites for LLM’s more than we already do for search engines?
4. Buy Fonts Regret Nothing
Close to 1,000 typefaces from 28 independent foundries, all brought together under a simple license.
5. We need better hyperlink hygiene
When it comes to being hygienic with our hyperlinks we are trying to avoid one disgusting phenomenon of the web: link rot. Ew.
A short-but-great read on hyperlink hygiene, with lots of good points to keep in mind.
