Five Links #94
1. Train Jazz
Not to be confused with Trane (as in Coltrane), this is a musical representation of real subway trains.
2. If you thought the speed of writing code was your problem - you have bigger problems
The competitive advantage doesn’t go to the team that writes code fastest. It goes to the team that figured out what to build, built it, and got it into users’ hands while everyone else was still drowning in a review queue full of AI-generated PRs that nobody has the time or the energy to read.
3. Automerge
This probably isn’t a service I’ll need, but I love the aesthetic.
4. Oil change & pizza
Another nice piece from Dan Mall, this time on developing a strategic focus (it’s from 2016(!), but just as relevant today).
5. The missing GitHub status page
GitHub stopped updating its status page with aggregate uptime numbers some time ago — if you use it regularly, you might have a feeling why. This is the missing version.
What am I up to?
- The next design process interview is coming soon...
- My next available Unoffice Hour slot is 27 May
- I have limited availability for new projects from May.
