Postkort fra 2047: The Park That Listens Back

Kære Alma,
Okay so you HAVE to hear about this. In Frederiksberg Have they put up these white poles with tiny microphones all over them, like a dandelion made of ears. They listen to the birds. Not to us — Farmor asked twice, very suspiciously. Just birds. The kommune counts which ones come back each year.
→ Here is the thing though. A blackbird sat right on top of one and sang INTO it. Like it knew. Do birds know when something is listening? I asked our teacher and she said "probably not" but she said it in the voice adults use when they mean "I don't know."
I got picked for the bird group at school because I can sit still for a really long time. That is basically a skill. (Okay, Malthe can sit still longer. Fine.)
It rained the whole afternoon, the warm kind, and my socks got wet inside my shoes which I actually like a little bit.
Bastian sat under the bench the entire time and did not help.
Do the birds in Skagen sound different? I think they must. Please write back what they sound like.
Oskar (og Bastian)
