Postkort fra 2043: The Homework Share Network

The Homework Share Network

Dear Morten,

The Homework Share Network turned six this year. Every Nordic school runs peer tutoring nodes—kids helping kids with math, languages, coding, whatever they're stuck on. No fees, no tracking, no tutors-for-hire disrupting it. Just an app that matches "I need help with quadratic equations" with "I explained those to three people last week and it finally makes sense now."

Started in Aarhus after parents realized tutoring had become a class divide. Someone built the protocol, teachers joined as soft moderators, students actually used it. Signe's daughter taught a kid in Malmö how to factor polynomials over video chat last Tuesday. Got a thank-you message in Swedish.

No one's gaming the system because there's nothing to game. No grades, no credits, just the quiet satisfaction of explaining something until someone else gets it. Lars says it's "inefficient compared to professional tutoring." His son is on there four nights a week, teaching and learning.

Turns out kids are pretty good at teaching each other when you just let them.

— Igor
