Announcing Ducky's Delivery Service! Also Chessplosion is 50% off in the Steam Spring Sale!
Hello again! After spending way too long working on music and trailers, I can finally say that...
Ducky's Delivery Service has been announced!
The game that I've been working on since last June (or last March if you count the older shooting game prototypes) is finally out there for the world to see! I'm really looking forward to seeing what everyone thinks of it.
You can wishlist it on Steam:
And check it out on itch.io:And I finished the trailer too! You can see it on the Steam and itch pages, or you can watch it here on YouTube instead:
One of the best ways to support the game is to wishlist it on Steam, because Steam's recommendation algorithm uses the number of wishlists when deciding how many people are interested in the game and how many other people they should recommend it to. The other best way to support the game is to tell other people about it!
By the way, I commissioned NomnomNami to draw the cute promo art that you can see in all of those pictures. So check out her games and her art if you like the look of it!
Chessplosion is 50% off on Steam and itch.io!
Because I like to do too many things at once, I decided to announce my game right as a Steam sale is starting. So for the next week, you can save 50% on Chessplosion on Steam and on itch.io. Thanks again for supporting my games!
So what next?
For the past month or two, I've been working on music and trailers and store pages and everything that goes into announcing Ducky's Delivery Service, now that it's over, I can get back to working on the game. My main goals are to finish the rest of the music, add the sound effects, polish up the cutscene writing so I can hire some translators, make some final balancing tweaks, and start looking into the process of publishing the game on a console.
I plan on releasing the game in July, but I've left plenty of extra buffer time at the end of development so I don't have to stress myself out over any more deadlines. Speaking of not stressing myself out, one of my goals for 2023 (see my blog post) is to track my vacation days and make sure I don't overwork myself. We're almost a quarter of the way through the year and I haven't taken any time off yet, so maybe now is a good time for a vacation.
Anyway, I'm going to go get some rest. I'd love to know what you think of the game now that the store page is up, and I'll see you next week!
