Fauxspresso Lemonade
Okay, this is actually an aeropress limeade.
This is sort of a modified version of an aeropress recipe from Coffee with April
Ingredients
- 13 grams coffee, medium roast
- 130 ml water
- Half a lime (15 grams)
- Lots of ice (at least 40 grams)
- Sugar/sweetener to taste
The lime variety I use is Key Lime, but any will do I suppose. I have made this with either a bit of maple syrup or artificial sweetener, you don't need a lot of it to make the drink taste good. If you don’t have an aeropress, 130ml of coffee in 1:10 ratio made with any method will work.
Steps
-
Heat up 130 ml of water in a kettle to 100℃.
-
Grind the coffee to a medium consistency, for reference it is 5 clicks on the Timemore Go.
-
Pour in 50ml of the hot water in the aeropress, stir it a little bit and seal the aeropress so water doesn’t pass down (you do it by putting the plunger in a little bit and then pulling it almost all the way out to create pressure that prevents the water from leaving)
-
After 30 seconds, put in the rest of the water (100ml), and wait for 90 seconds more.
-
Pour the coffee out of the aeropress, and mix in your sweetener.
-
Add the ice.
