Our beloved Third Wheels,

Marnina here (and Micah here!), comin’ at you hot (literally 🥵) from Los Angeles.

Couplet Thing #1: Live shows next week! We’re visiting the best cities for comedy: Chicago, Los Angeles, and, you guessed it, Ventura. We’ll be performing our show Honey Honey Moon Moon (and thus extending our honeymoon foreverrr)! If you know someone in those areas, please send them your favorite Couplet video and tell them that musical comedy shows increase your lifespan (not fact-checked, but feels right)!

Couplet Thing #2: Weekly song challenge! When we were at Edinburgh Fringe, Sam Reich (CEO of Dropout TV, great human) saw our show and charged us with a challenge: to upload a new song every week for two years. AAHH!

It feels scary to write this because now you all will know if we fail. But we just dropped our first song since we left for Fringe, inspired by Joni Mitchell’s California and the giant Minion “sculpture” that looms over Los Angeles. (Joni would be so disappointed in us.)

Coming off our 24-show run at Edinburgh Fringe, we feel so inspired to write new material and to perform as many places as possible! The rest of this year, we’re looking at more shows in LA, a possible show in NY, and next summer, we want to return to the UK. (Like Kiefer Sutherland returning in season 2… 24 hours wasn’t enough. Is that a fun reference? Do people get that? Marnina is shaking their head.)
