Urania 2.0 is out. It's called Cosmic.
The astrology software Urania hasn't just evolved. It's a complete revolution.
Hi there,
It's Tres, the creator of Urania. You signed up for updates about this project (some as far back as 2020!) and I wanted to share with you what I've been up to.

I created Urania because I was frustrated there wasn't good, free astrology software available on Linux, Windows, or Mac that let you move through time and see the chart change as you go. I wanted to explore astrological charts and find just the right time for my elections. My partner Jake and I have taken that idea even further and released the professional astrology program Cosmic. It's Urania's spiritual successor.

The aim is still the same: give you useful tools that put the astrology in your hands. Cosmic runs on Linux, Windows, and Mac desktops, just like Urania, but now also runs in a web browser, on mobile and tablet, and syncs all of your charts across all of those devices.
And all of that is free, just like Urania.
We also have paid tools that support our ongoing work on Cosmic, but you don’t need to buy anything to use all of the core features.
For now Cosmic is only available in English. I know that makes it hard for some of you to move over. However, you can still use Urania on your desktop just like you always have. We will port Cosmic to every language eventually and if you're interested in helping us translate into your preferred language, let us know.
Thanks for your interest in Urania and helping it become something worth continuing.
Tres
P.S. We'd also like to pay people who know astrology to help translate Cosmic. If you're fluent in English and another language and interested in that work, reply back and let me know.
