Happy belated New Years! I’m in the habit of writing a million resolutions each year, ranging from reasonable to silly-little-side-quest to overtly audacious. Examples: 1) bake bread for five neighbors and 2) play the Bowery Ballroom. One resolution from the Reasonable and Doable camp is to play more live shows. I’ll be kicking that one off with a Brooklyn show at Purgatory on 1/24!
I will be joined by “trashy folk” artist ghostdaughter and alt indie pop band Būko at Purgatory in Bushwick on Saturday, January 24th at 7pm. My friend Sam is a huge fan of ghostdaughter (as am I!) but lives all the way in Scotland, so if you live in the NYC area you should come to the show on her behalf. I met and was enamored by the Būko crew at a gig last January, and I can’t wait to share the stage with them again. You can get your tickets here!

Also, there are 19 days left of my album kickstarter campaign (ahhhhh!!). Right now the project is 70% funded (holy crap!!), and I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I am for everyone who has donated and shared this project. I am so excited about these songs, and even more excited about the awesome stuff I can hire my friends and collaborators to add to it if we hit this goal.
